Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in the United States seeks an Account Executive—Biotech, Business Development for the Clinical Trials Division to drive sales growth and build strategic relationships with biotech customers. The role covers the East and West coasts with a remote home-office setup.

You will develop territory plans, pursue new targets, and enable winning quotations while collaborating with CTD experts and site leadership. Regular travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Clinical Supplies industry is highly desired.
• Good knowledge of the clinical drug development process is expected.
• CDMO or CRO sales experience is a plus.
• Professional background in sales or business development within America’s.
• Ability to network with senior management and present effectively.
• Familiarity with a matrix environment, internally and with clients.
• Proficiency in Salesforce is preferred.
• Ability to establish a functional, home office environment.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Willing and able to travel up to 25% of time, including overnight stays.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• New business development by identifying opportunities with new or existing clients.
• Develop a detailed territory plan for the region to optimize performance.
• Create and implement sales programs to raise awareness of services.
• Understand funding mechanisms for biotech in the territory.
• Attend tradeshows and conferences to generate leads.
• Communicate value proposition and potential service bundles.
• Lead ongoing relationships with existing clients and drive contracting discussions.
• Support quotations and contract negotiation.
• Maintain activities in SFDC and share client background with partners.
