Job summary

Benchling is an AI-enabled platform for biotech R&D, helping scientists design experiments and capture structured data. The Solution Consultant role partners with sales and product to translate customer objectives into actionable solutions that leverage Benchling capabilities for sophisticated life-science environments.

The role requires comfort with Life Sciences R&D processes, enterprise SaaS, and communicating with scientific and IT leadership. Travel to customer sites is expected 25–30%.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemistry or similar Life Science field.
• Experience with scientific/informatics software such as LIMS, ELN, or others; familiarity with antibody engineering software is a plus.
• REQUIRED - Hands-on experience in antibody discovery and engineering, bench scientist or technical role supporting biologics teams.
• Demonstrated capacity to model scientific data and craft solutions based on product knowledge and industry best practices.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites 25-30%.

Responsibilities

• Effectively partner with account executives and leadership to create account and deal strategies.
• Manage organized discoveries to uncover customer needs and requirements.
• Craft solutions based on Benchling capabilities, industry best practices and standard R&D functions.
• Present and demonstrate the solution persuasively, handle questions and objections, and consider alternatives including in-house build.
• Engage with product management to provide insight into needs and influence the roadmap.
• Provide leadership by creating reusable solutions, content, and trainings; mentor other SCs.
