Job summary

Benchling, Inc. is seeking an Implementation Manager to drive successful platform rollouts for biotech customers. You will work with scientists and Benchling teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, configure the system, test, train, and onboard users.

In this role you’ll guide projects from kickoff to go-live, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure value realization. A scientific background and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Immunology, Bioinformatics, Biological Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a lab or research setting. Must empathize with scientists and understand complex concepts.
• Strong communication skills across scientists, IT leads, and executives.
• Self-starter capable of thriving in a startup environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Manage initial rollouts for new Benchling customers and expansion projects.
• Own implementation success from kickoff to go-live with project management and product knowledge.
• Build detailed project plans and coordinate cross-team deliverables for high-quality deployments.
• Understand customers’ scientific workflows to tailor Benchling capabilities to needs.
• Lead workshops, data modeling, configuration, testing, and user onboarding.
• Act as trusted advisor and champion Benchling Best Practices with customers.
• Document customer pain points and advocate for product changes internally.
• Develop and optimize enterprise training materials including written and video collateral.
• Identify opportunities for account growth post go-live.
