Baystate Health and the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School–Baystate are recruiting an experienced Master’s-level Biostatistician to join the Department of Healthcare Delivery and Population Sciences. This role offers opportunities to lead methodological work across clinical, epidemiological, and implementation research in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biostatistics or related field.
• At least 3 years of applied biostatistics experience.
• Proficiency with SAS, R, or STATA.
• Experience with large healthcare datasets (EHR, claims, registry).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate results clearly.
• Experience supporting grant/submission processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult with investigators on study design, analysis strategies, and interpretation of results.
• Perform sample size and power calculations for studies and grants.
• Conduct advanced analyses and develop reproducible analysis workflows in SAS/R/STATA.
• Prepare datasets from EHR, claims, registry, and trial data for analysis.
• Develop analysis plans and contribute to protocols, grants, and manuscripts.
• Lead statistical work on projects and advise on extramural research activities.
• Present findings and mentor colleagues in quantitative methods.
