Kelly Government Solutions, in partnership with NIH, seeks a Biospecimen Laboratory Technician in Bethesda to support NHLBI research. You will prepare, process, store, and ship biospecimens, ensuring sample integrity and precise data management.

The role requires 2+ years in a biospecimen–related lab and strong attention to detail. Responsibilities include centrifugation, aliquoting, cryopreservation, accessioning, equipment operation, and maintaining accurate LIMS records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a biobank, clinical, or research setting.
• Strong laboratory skills and equipment proficiency; experience with automated lab equipment is a plus.
• Attention to detail, organization, data entry, and computer skills (LIMS) required.

Responsabilités

• Support Biospecimen Core's mission to provide high-quality biospecimens for research and clinical applications.
• Process biospecimens (blood, tissue, DNA, RNA) by centrifugation, aliquoting, cryopreservation, and accessioning per SOPs.
• Protect sample integrity by performing procedures with precision.
• Operate centrifuges, freezers, and automated systems and perform routine maintenance.
• Respond to freezer temperature alarms, 7 days a week.
• Enter and maintain accurate sample data in the LIMS with verifications.
• Accession incoming shipments for archival storage and verify against manifest.
• Catalog and organize frozen biospecimens and reconcile inventory with database.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to collect and deliver biospecimens timely.
