Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Bioscience Account Manager to grow our Life Sciences portfolio across the Illinois territory. You will build customer relationships, identify opportunities, and collaborate with technical teams to connect customers with Gibco, Invitrogen, Applied Biosystems, and more.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Biology or Life Sciences, 2+ years of relevant experience, English fluency, and strong sales capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or related field.
2+ years of relevant professional experience in life sciences, biotech, or scientific sales.
Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build client relationships.
Willingness to travel and possess a valid driver's license.
Field-based sales role within Illinois territory.

Responsibilities

Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets by growing existing business and developing new customers.
Build and establish the Illinois territory through prospecting, outreach, and account mapping.
Identify new accounts and convert competitive opportunities across education, biotech, pharma, government, and life science customers.
Execute core sales activities: prospecting, qualification, value-based selling, opportunity management and closing.
Develop knowledge of customer workflows to position Thermo Fisher products effectively.
Collaborate with specialists and internal teams to present solutions and support customers.
