Job summary

Precision Medicine Group, LLC in Frederick, MD is seeking a Biorepository Technician I to assist with shipment receipt, retrieval and preservation of biological samples stored in the repository. You will monitor freezers, ensure proper storage conditions, and support documentation and QA processes.

Responsibilities include unpacking and recording shipments, aliquoting samples aseptically, verifying contents, and coordinating shipments with laboratories.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years’ of general working experience.
• Familiarity with Excel and basic functions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor freezers and temperatures; respond to alarms per SOP.
• Receive biological samples and record shipment details.
• Create and organize paperwork; store samples at correct temperatures.
• Verify shipment contents against packing lists and quarantine materials for QA release.
• Aliquot and inventory frozen samples using aseptic technique; update batch records.
• Prepare and ship samples, label containers, and maintain shipping paperwork.
• Maintain awareness of IATA shipping regulations and certifications.
