Job summary

Precision Medicine Group in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Biorepository Technician I to assist in shipment and receipt, retrieval and preservation of biological samples stored in the repository.

You will perform daily pull lists, unpack and store samples at appropriate temperatures, document discrepancies, verify packing lists, label blocks and slides, and prepare shipments in compliance with SOPs and IATA regulations. Team player with detail orientation is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 year of relevant working experience.
• Attention to detail and solid documentation skills.
• Able to work well in a group and flexible in task changes.
• Familiar with Excel and basic functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily pull list and re-file material as needed.
• Receive biological samples and unpack while recording information.
• Store samples at appropriate temperatures following guidelines.
• Document discrepancies and notify the responsible party.
• Verify shipment contents against packing lists for received supplies.
• Label blocks, slides, and vials; perform QC checks for shipments.
• Prepare and pack boxes for shipment; maintain a clean workspace.
