Job summary

Precision Medicine Group in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Biorepository Technician I to assist in shipment and receipt, retrieve and preserve biological samples, and maintain a clean, compliant workspace.

Responsibilities include receiving and recording specimens, storing per temperature guidelines, labeling and packing for shipment, and keeping SOPs up to date with IATA regulations. High school diploma and 0-1 year experience required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 year of relevant working experience.
• Good attention to detail, excellent documentation, and ability to work in a group.
• Familiarity with Excel and basic functions.
• Able to lift 31-50 lbs, tolerate cold environments, and read/write/speak English.

Responsibilities

• Keep up with daily pull list.
• Re-file material as needed.
• Assist with inventory reduction.
• Unpack specimens and record information.
• Store at appropriate temperature for frozen and ambient samples.
• Document discrepancies and notify manager or responsible person.
• Verify shipment contents against packing list.
• Label blocks, slides, and vials; perform QC against client spreadsheet.
• Prepare and pack boxes for shipment.
• Maintain SOPs and IATA regulations; keep certifications up to date.
• Carry out other duties and maintain a clean workspace.
