Job summary

Labcorp in Greenfield, IN seeks a Sample Handling Assistant IB to support the Biorepository team. The role involves labeling, receiving, transferring, tracking, and archiving samples, with emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and teamwork.

Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm in a laboratory setting. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma and at least one year of work experience; preferred candidates have six months in sample handling and an Associate’s degree.

Qualifications

• Experience in sample handling or related manual tasks.
• Ability to document accurately and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample management and archive tasks including labeling, receipt, transferring, tracking, inventory, and disposal.
• Sample accession tasks including box opening, inventory/labeling, receipt/store, pulls/returns.
• Uses tracking systems to maintain sample and study integrity.
• Interpretation of documentation and communication of discrepancies.
• Maintain client and business confidentiality and support process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and safety regulations.
