Job summary

Cryogene invites applications for an Equipment Specialist to assist in maintenance, installation, and repairs of repository equipment. You will help with critical infrastructure, monitor LN2 systems, and support GMP/GDP compliance.

The role includes maintaining documentation, participating in audits, and possible evening/weekend shifts to ensure continuous cryorepository operations and service quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Facilities Technician/Specialist or in a similar role.
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent education.
• Frequently required to type, sit, stand, walk, lift/carry up to 50lbs; occasional heavy lifting.
• Controlled environment storage and distribution operations experience.
• Health, Safety and Environmental operations experience; HSE certification desirable (e.g., OSHA).
• Project management experience (desirable).
• Proficient computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance in a GMP environment.
• Experience working with GDP.
• Basic knowledge of cryogenic gas storage & distribution systems (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Complete, organize, and store documentation pertaining to the Facilities department following GDP
• Assist in the maintenance and installation of biorepository equipment
• Basic response to facility infrastructure emergencies
• Assist in the monitoring of mechanical refrigeration units and all LN2 vessels, filling them as needed
• Assistance when required with daily local deliveries and driving company vehicle
• Assist with general maintenance and repairs around the site
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety and environmental statutory, regulatory and company regulations
• Ensure all changes to safety legislation are incorporated and implemented within the framework of the Site Health & Safety Policy
• To carry out all duties in compliance with required quality and GMP standards
• To undertake any other additional duties as requested by the Facilities Manager
• To participate in client audits and facility presentations as required
• Position may require periodic evening and weekend, as necessary to ensure cryorepository operation quality and service standards.
