Job summary

Amgen Inc. in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking an Engineer to transfer purification drug substance processes and drive scale-up from R&D to manufacturing.

You will support tech transfers, provide process validation input, and deliver on-the-floor technical support for successful commercial operations. The role involves data trending, statistical analysis, and collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams, with potential for telecommuting where feasible.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• Two years of experience in technology transfer into commercial facilities.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as JMP and Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Transfer purification drug substance processes and implement process improvements into manufacturing facilities.
• Support Make-a-Batch tech transfers between partner sites.
• Provide process validation support for late-stage commercial processes.
• On-the-floor technical support for scale-up and transfer of process technology.
• Data trending and statistical process analysis; support for NCs, CAPAs and change controls.
