Job summary
Amgen in Thousand Oaks is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide downstream purification manufacturing support for a diverse portfolio of both clinical and commercial biologics drug substance products.
You will provide engineering oversight, lead technology transfer, and drive process development, scale‑up, and manufacturing execution across development and commercialization, while mentoring engineers and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Doctorate degree or equivalent in engineering/related field.
- Master’s degree and 2+ years of engineering experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of engineering experience.
- Associate’s degree and 8+ years of engineering experience.
- High school diploma / GED with 10+ years of engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide downstream purification manufacturing support for clinical and commercial products.
- Lead technology transfer and manufacturing readiness activities.
- Support process development, scale‑up, and process validation.
- Guide engineering teams through investigations and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP and quality standards.
