Job summary

Lilly in Lebanon, Indiana, is building a state-of-the-art gene therapy manufacturing site and seeking a Bioprocess – TS/MS role to drive technical transfer, validation, and process stewardship for clinical and commercial supply.

The successful candidate will develop deep process knowledge of LNP-mRNA products, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver QA/compliance documentation while ensuring safe, compliant operations and continuous improvement onsite.

Qualifications

• BS in Biochemical Engineering or related quantitative field.
• 3+ years experience supporting cGMP manufacturing of LNP-mRNA molecules.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Lilly will not sponsor visas.
• In-depth knowledge of mRNA/LNP gene therapy processes is preferred.
• Leadership of cross-functional teams and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Have in-depth knowledge of the science behind LNP-mRNA molecules.
• Provide technical support for start-up TS/MS activities (NPI, tech transfer, process validation, process stewardship).
• Own and steward bioprocess tech, support RCA for deviations and impact assessments for changes.
• Lead cross-functional teams to interface science/engineering with operations on the floor.
• Assess process control and validation state; implement Lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Prepare, review and provide technical support for change controls, regulatory submissions, deviations, validation protocols, processing records, and annual reports.
• Support and/or lead TS/MS projects to start-up and improve process control, yield, product quality, and productivity.
• Develop and monitor statistically-based metrics to assess process variability.
• Serve as technical interface external to the Lebanon site and provide audit support.
• Ensure safe working environment and safety culture.
