Job summary

The Sr. Principal Chemist role focuses on analytical methods, method transfer, validation, and post-start operations to ensure safe, high-quality product testing.

The role demands strong GMP knowledge, 7+ years in advanced therapies, and ability to mentor laboratory teams while coordinating with QA, Manufacturing Science, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related science.
• 7+ years of advanced therapy experience in gene therapy, LVV, LNP, or AAV.

Responsibilities

• Serve as site SME for gene therapy analytical methods and support testing delivery.
• Execute assays for in-process, release, and stability testing with GMP compliance.
• Lead method transfer, qualification, and validation for new products.
• Support startup readiness, equipment and method readiness, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure testing readiness for new and existing products.
• Author and review technical documents; support inspections as SME; mentor staff.
