Job summary

MSD UK is seeking an Associate Specialist, Engineering in the BTS team to support vaccine and biologics processes across development and production. You will work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and R&D in a multidisciplinary setting to optimize bioprocesses.

The role emphasizes lab experiments, 5S lab organization, and collaboration across global teams, with occasional after-hours work and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biochemical Engineering or related field with 5+ years vaccine/manufacturing experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Hands-on problem-solving approach in multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Support small, medium and large-scale bioreactor runs.
• Execute lab experiments and assays as required.
• Organize and maintain BTS labs (5S) and inventory.
• Uphold a safety-first mindset across operations.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and R&D teams.
