Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an Associate Specialist, Engineering within the Biotechnology and Solutions (BTS) team to support vaccine and biologics process development and production.

The role involves collaborating across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and R&D to optimize and troubleshoot production processes. The position emphasizes learning bioprocessing principles, data analytics, and design of experiments in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• High-level written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in vaccine/biologics manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Support small, medium and large-scale bioreactor runs.
• Assist and execute lab experiments and assays.
• Organize BTS labs and inventory (5S).
• Maintain a safety-first mindset during operations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, development and research teams.
• Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required.
