Job summary

MSD seeks an experienced scientist to support late-stage cell bank development and commercialization of biologics and vaccines. You will lead process transfer activities, assess risks, and collaborate across internal and external manufacturing networks.

Responsibilities include designing experiments, generating high-quality data, authoring regulatory and technical documents, and guiding cross-functional teams to meet accelerated timelines with a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of cell line development and culture metabolism.
• Hands-on mammalian or microbial cell culture with cell enumeration and expansion.
• DOE, data analysis, and presentation of results.

Responsibilities

• Lead cell bank process risk assessments, documentation, and technology transfer.
• Plan and execute work to commercialize working cell banks and implement process changes.
• Design and run laboratory experiments to generate high-quality data.
• Collaborate with research and commercial teams on process documentation and transfers.
• Author regulatory/technical documentation for cell bank transfer and licensure.
• Provide technical leadership and standardization across programs.
• Drive accelerated timelines with safety-first, compliant execution.
