Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in Massachusetts is seeking a Bioprocess Associate/Specialist to support the execution of commercial manufacturing processes for therapeutic proteins in a cGMP environment. The role involves hands-on operation, adherence to SOPs, and working with primary production equipment.

A high school diploma is required; a BS in science or related field is preferred. This on-site position offers shift work (5pm–5am) with rotation and holiday coverage, plus a shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required. A BS in science, engineering, biochemistry or related discipline is desirable but not required.
• Prior evidence of successful participation on work/study teams with collaboration and results expected.
• Proficiency in common computer tools such as word processing, spreadsheets and web-based applications.
• Attention to detail and personal accountability are critical to success.
• Good interpersonal skills, attentive and approachable; maintains professional relationships with management and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Works on routine manufacturing assignments per written procedures and recognizes deviations.
• Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and standard operating procedures.
• Weighs and checks raw materials; assembles, cleans, and sterilizes process equipment; monitors processes; completes electronic work instructions and maintains clean room environment to comply with regulatory requirements.
• Trains for proficiency in operation of primary production equipment (bioreactors, chromatography skids, media/buffer prep, etc.).
• Trains for proficiency in process automation systems (DeltaV, Syncade, Pi Vision) and supporting business systems (SAP, Infinity, Maximo).
• Assists with revision/creation of process documents such as SOPs and electronic work instructions.
• Assists in maintaining material and components inventory levels.
• Supports a safe work environment.
