Job summary

Premise Health is seeking Health Screeners to join our Phillips, WI team. These as-needed roles involve traveling to local companies to perform health screenings for employees, with morning Monday–Friday availability for event-based work.

Strong customer service, venipuncture or fingerstick experience, and the ability to use a blood pressure cuff are essential. You will operate in a fast-paced team environment, and may require transport of supplies between sites.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Current national phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited phlebotomy program with hands-on externship.
• Minimum 1 year of health screening or phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Must pass background check and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform and record biometric testing results (height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, BMI).
• Conduct blood testing including fingerstick/venipuncture in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare specimens for storage or processing.
• Set up/break down portable biometric stations.
• May transport supplies to screening events (up to 20 lbs).
• Maintain logs for laboratory transactions per regulations.

We are currently seeking Health Screeners to join our team in Phillips, WI.

About the role: These positions are as-needed opportunities and offer flexibility in scheduling and highly competitive pay. We send you out to local companies within your area to perform health screenings for the employees of the companies.

What would make you successful in this role? Strong customer service skills, previous venipuncture and/or fingerstick experience, ability to use a manual blood pressure cuff, tech savvy and excellent communication skills.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform and record biometric testing results including, but not limited to height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI (Body Mass Index)
• Blood testing including fingerstick and / or venipuncture blood draws in a fast-paced environment
• Preparation of specimens for storage or additional processing
• Set up and break down portable blood draw / biometric station(s)
• May need to transport supplies to and from health screening events (lifting up to 20 lbs.)
• Maintains the logs and records for all Laboratory transactions and information in accordance with department and regulatory requirements
• Must have morning availability (Monday-Friday) for event-based employment
• May require other duties as assigned

Education

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required
• Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR one of the following:
• Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands-on externship completed
• Over 100 successful fingersticks within the last year or a minimum of 200 successful venipuncture blood draws within the last 6 months
• Active state specific Phlebotomy certification is required for candidates performing phlebotomy in NV, CA WA, and LA

Experience

• 1 year of experience of Health Screening or Phlebotomy experience preferred
