Job summary

Premise Health is seeking Health Screeners to join our Medford, WI team for flexible, event-based biometric screenings. eHealthScreenings, a Premise Health Company, coordinates mobile screening services across local employers, offering competitive pay and mileage reimbursement.

The role requires strong customer service, basic phlebotomy skills (fingerstick or venipuncture), and the ability to work independently at busy events.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current national certification in Phlebotomy or equivalent credentialing.
• Active state phlebotomy certification may be required for certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform biometric testing (height, weight, BP, body fat, BMI).
• Collect blood samples via fingerstick or venipuncture in a fast-paced setting.
• Prepare specimens for storage/processing.
• Set up and break down mobile screening stations.
• Transport supplies to events as needed (up to 20 lbs).
• Maintain logs per regulatory requirements.
• Must be available Mon–Fri mornings for events.

We are currently seeking Health Screeners to join our team in Medford, WI.

About the role:These positions are as-needed opportunities and offer flexibility in scheduling and highly competitive pay. We send you out to local companies within your area to perform health screenings for the employees of the companies.

What would make you successful in this role?Strong customer service skills, previous venipuncture and/or fingerstick experience, ability to use a manual blood pressure cuff, tech savvy and excellent communication skills.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform and record biometric testing results including, but not limited to height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI (Body Mass Index)
• Blood testing including fingerstick and / or venipuncture blood draws in a fast-paced environment
• Preparation of specimens for storage or additional processing
• Set up and break down portable blood draw / biometric station(s)
• May need to transport supplies to and from health screening events (lifting up to 20 lbs.)
• Maintains the logs and records for all Laboratory transactions and information in accordance with department and regulatory requirements
• Must have morning availability (Monday-Friday) for event-based employment
• May require other duties as assigned

Education:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required
• Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR one of the following:
• Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands-on externship completed
• Over 100 successful fingersticks within the last year or a minimum of 200 successful venipuncture blood draws within the last 6 months
• Active state specific Phlebotomy certification is required for candidates performing phlebotomy in NV, CA WA, and LA

Experience:

• 1 year of experience of Health Screening or Phlebotomy experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Have outstanding customer service skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possess a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-pace environment
• Ability to show proof of professional credentialing
• Must be available to work a PRN, event-driven position
• Ability to pass a full background check

• Knowledge and skills necessary to collect blood samples from patients.
• Ability to work independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with

• Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
