Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive technical experience in the medical device/biomedical field.
• Several years of supervisory/management experience leading technical personnel.
• Experience supervising field service technicians is highly desirable.
• Experience in hospital biomedical engineering or clinical engineering environments is highly relevant.
• Strong electrical/electronics background with ability to troubleshoot complex equipment.
• Experience with FDA/ISO quality systems and service records.
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations of the Biomedical/Technical Services department, ensuring productivity, quality, turnaround times, and customer satisfaction.
• Directly supervise approximately 15 BMETs/medical device technicians.
• Oversee repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and upgrades of medical devices.
• Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues and support technicians.
• Manage workflow, staffing, and resource allocation to maximize productivity and service quality.
• Ensure work complies with procedures, manufacturer specifications, and quality standards.
• Maintain FDA/ISO compliance and audit readiness of records and documentation.
• Develop training programs for biomedical engineers, BMETs, and customers.
• Collaborate with the Director of Technical Services on strategies and initiatives.
