Jobot seeks a hands-on Manager of Bench Technical Services to lead a BMET/biomedical engineering team responsible for repair, testing, calibration and maintenance of medical devices. The role emphasizes leadership, quality, and customer support in a fast-paced clinical environment.
The ideal candidate will supervise ~15 technicians, partner with the Director of Technical Services on strategy and process improvements, and ensure compliance with FDA/ISO standards while delivering reliable service.
Job details:
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
The Manager of Bench Technical Services will lead and supervise a team of Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMETs), Biomedical Engineers, and Medical Device Technicians responsible for the repair, testing, calibration, maintenance, and technical support of medical devices.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused specifically on medical/biomedical equipment—not IT. The ideal candidate will come from a hospital biomedical engineering department, medical device manufacturer, clinical engineering environment, or similar technical service organization and will have several years of experience supervising BMETs or medical device technicians.
The Manager will oversee the company's largest technical team of approximately 15 technicians, while partnering closely with the Director of Technical Services on department strategy, quality, training, process improvement, and customer support.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who can manage a large team while still understanding the technical work being performed. They should be comfortable mentoring BMETs, solving complex equipment issues, communicating with customers and internal teams, and making decisions in a fast-paced medical device environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently leading BMETs, biomedical engineers, clinical engineering teams, or medical device field service technicians who wants to step into a larger leadership role with significant team ownership and long-term growth potential.
