Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to maintain patient care devices. You will perform corrective and preventive maintenance, support engineering teams, and ensure device safety and uptime in a demanding clinical environment.

The role requires 4 years of related experience, an Electronics-related Associate degree or equivalent training, and the ability to work with nurses and staff across departments. On-site, full-time position in Baltimore.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; electronics training preferred.
• 4 years of related job experience in biomedical equipment maintenance.
• Ability to use electronic hand tools and interpret circuit diagrams.
• Knowledge of patient care devices and ability to troubleshoot and repair.

Responsibilities

• Performs corrective and preventative maintenance on patient care devices.
• Assists Clinical Engineers with support for risk category I–IV devices.
• Responds to service calls and documents PM completion.
• Maintains spare parts inventory and orders repair parts.
• Provides in-service to nursing staff on device use and safety.
