Job summary
Mercyhealth is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to maintain, repair, and test a wide range of medical devices across Mercyhealth locations. The role involves collaborating with clinical staff, managing work orders, and ensuring equipment safety and reliability.
Qualified candidates will have an associate degree in bio-medical engineering/electronics or related military certifications and at least 3 years of relevant experience, including exposure to radiology or other specialized
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Bio-Medical Engineering / Electronics or related military equivalent certifications required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience installing, maintaining and repairing medical/electronic/mechanical equipment; with at least 1 year in Radiology, X-ray, Lab, OR, Dialysis, Anesthesia, Prosthetics or other specialized healthcare equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintains, repairs, and tests medical equipment to ensure proper and safe operation.
- Safely conducts safety tests to protect patients and staff.
- Works with medical staff to verify equipment functionality.
- Keeps CMMS records up to date with work orders, assets and PM schedules.
- Assists with inventory and budgets and may travel to Mercyhealth locations.
