Beth Israel Lahey Health in Beverly, MA, is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I. This entry-level role performs inspection, preventive maintenance, calibration, basic troubleshooting, and repair of routine medical equipment under guidance to ensure safe, reliable patient care.

You will document activities in the CMMS, collaborate with clinical staff, and participate in training to advance within the BMET career ladder.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; associates preferred.
One or more years related electronics/biomedical equipment experience preferred.
CBET or other certification preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled inspections, preventive maintenance, calibration, functional testing, and basic repair activities on routine medical equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve routine equipment issues using test equipment, service manuals, diagrams, and procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance, repairs, parts usage, and equipment status in the CMMS.
Support equipment installations, upgrades, relocations, and recalls under guidance.
Provide professional customer service and escalate safety concerns as needed.
Participate in on-call, after-hours, and emergency service as required after competency confirmation.
