Job summary

Blue Water Thinking seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician – Info/Sys to join a healthcare facility in Houston. You will maintain networked medical equipment, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and support cybersecurity and data protection for clinical devices.

Responsibilities include equipment installation, safety inspections, software updates, and training staff to ensure high standards of patient care. Experience with Cerner EHR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training.
• Minimum three years hospital/healthcare experience with medical equipment maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of computer security, networking and medical information systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on networked medical equipment to ensure reliability.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions following manufacturer guidelines.
• Install, calibrate, configure, and test medical devices per safety standards.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams on device security and data protection.
• Maintain CMMS records of maintenance, repairs and inspections.
• Provide training and technical support to clinical staff on equipment use.
