Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a field service engineer to respond to service calls for biomedical equipment at a Downtown Chicago area site. You will evaluate, diagnose, and repair complex equipment, perform PMs, safety inspections, and maintain strong customer relations while following GE policies.

You will lead technicians, manage parts inventory and calibration, and participate in after-hours on-call coverage to support critical issues and account goals.

Qualifications

• Analytical and communication skills to explain technical issues to customers clearly.
• Must comply with background checks, immunization proof, and drug tests as required by customers.
• Willingness to be on after-hours/on-call as needed, including weekends for critical issues.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex biomedical equipment issues and implement repairs.
• Perform planned maintenance (PM) and safety inspections with proper documentation.
• Lead technicians on basic and complex repairs and ensure proper inventory and calibration of spares.
• Communicate effectively with customers and teammates to ensure customer satisfaction.
