Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to respond to service calls, diagnose and repair basic biomedical equipment, and perform PM and safety inspections. You will work with customers and teammates to ensure timely resolutions and maintain documentation in line with GE policies.

The role emphasizes strong communication, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to lift and use testing equipment as needed in a fast-paced environment across U.S. facilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent military education, or GEHC internship program.
• Alternatively, HS Diploma/GED with 2+ years servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
• Must pass background check, immunization and other required pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, repair and PM basic biomedical equipment.
• Maintain customer satisfaction through service excellence and clear communication.
• Follow GE policies, hospital protocol and complete required documentation.
• Collaborate with teammates; may assist more experienced technicians on complex repairs.
