Job summary

GE HealthCare in Sacramento seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to respond to service calls, diagnose and repair basic biomedical equipment, and perform scheduled preventive maintenance. You will help ensure customer satisfaction through service excellence and collaborate with the local team for efficient service delivery.

Under supervision, you will evaluate equipment issues, assist senior technicians, maintain documentation, and follow GE policies, safety procedures and regulatory

Qualifications

• One year of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
• Ability to communicate technical issues to customers in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Compliance with background checks and immunization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responds to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and repair basic biomedical equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance and safety/environmental inspections.
• Assists more experienced technicians on repairs.
• Communicates effectively with teammates and customers.
• Documents repair actions and submits reports on schedule.
• Maintains spares, tools and test equipment, and ensures calibration.
• Works with local team to provide efficient service within the assigned area.
• Shares on-call responsibilities when trained.
• Adheres to GE policies and regulatory requirements.
