Job summary

GE HealthCare in the Fremont-Danville area seeks a biomedical equipment service technician to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on basic equipment. You will drive customer satisfaction through service excellence and support on-site service delivery.

Under supervision, you will handle repairs, PMs, and safety inspections, communicate with customers, and follow GE policies. Willingness to work on-call and lift up to 35 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent military education or GEHC internship/externship program.
• High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of service experience in electrical/electronics/IT or mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues and perform repairs.
• Conduct PM and safety/environmental inspections.
• Assist more experienced technicians on repairs/resolutions.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and customers.
• Follow GE policies and complete required documentation.
• Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
• Work as part of a local team to provide service across accounts.
• Document all repair actions and submit reports on schedule.
