Job summary

Black Diamond Networks is seeking a biomedical engineer to pre-operatively plan knee, hip, and shoulder replacement projects. You will work directly with sales reps and orthopedic surgeons, and collaborate with the Pre-operative Planning and Robotics teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field, with 0–2 years experience in 3D CAD and programming (UG NX, SolidWorks, Python preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science preferred.
• 0–2 years experience with 3D CAD and programming software (UG NX, SolidWorks, Python preferred).
• Creative, analytical, and structured thinker and problem solver who strives to execute.
• Knowledge of total knee, hip, or shoulder replacement preferred.
• Strong computer skills with exposure to 3D modeling and programming.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operatively plan surgical cases for knee, hip, and shoulder replacement.
• Collaborate with customers such as sales representatives and orthopedic surgeons.
• Work with Pre-operative Planning and Robotics teams.
• Identify and recommend process improvements for design, manufacturing, and evaluation.
• Attend departmental and project meetings.
• Participate in project teams to develop requirements and specifications with the team.
• Work within specifications to meet project goals on time and accurately.
• Collaborate with peers and other departments on new product development and enhancements.
