Job summary

Black Diamond Networks is seeking a biomedical engineer to pre-operatively plan knee, hip, and shoulder replacement projects. You will work directly with sales reps and orthopedic surgeons, and collaborate with the Pre-operative Planning and Robotics teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field, with 0–2 years experience in 3D CAD and programming (UG NX, SolidWorks, Python preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science preferred.
• 0–2 years experience with 3D CAD and programming software (UG NX, SolidWorks, Python preferred).

• Knowledge of total knee, hip, or shoulder replacement preferred.
• Strong computer skills with exposure to 3D modeling and programming.

• Will be responsible for pre-operatively planning surgical cases for knee, hip, and shoulder replacement.
• Will be responsible for working directly with customers such as sales representatives and orthopedic surgeons.
• Work directly with the Pre-operative Planning and Robotics teams.
• Identify and recommend process improvements for design, manufacturing, and evaluation.
• Attend departmental and project meetings.
• Participate in project team for assigned projects; analyze improvements and new product or applications and develops requirements and specifications with team.
• Works within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
• Effectively works with peers, project team members, and other departments in new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements.
