Job summary

Medical Device Recruiters Inc is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to advance next-generation shoulder arthroplasty implants and surgical instrumentation. You will own the full product lifecycle from concept to launch, leading cross-functional teams and ensuring designs meet stringent standards.

The role requires 5+ years in engineering with medical device exposure, proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks/Creo), and strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with surgeons

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience; medical device experience preferred.
• Shoulder/orthopedic experience strongly preferred.
• Experience independently leading product development projects.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD; SolidWorks or Creo preferred.
• Familiarity with FDA, ISO, and medical device design controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of shoulder implants and instrumentation.
• Complete medical device product development from concept through launch.
• Optimize designs for performance, quality, and manufacturability.
• Lead cross-functional technical teams and manage timelines and budgets.
• Develop design documentation in accordance with FDA/ISO requirements.
• Plan and execute verification and performance testing.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and surgeon users.
• Manufacturing Transfer
• Collaborate with surgeons, manufacturing, and engineering teams.
• Travel occasionally for labs, surgeon interactions, and industry events
