Job summary

Rimkus seeks a Biomechanical Engineer (Injury Experience Needed) to conduct human-injury analyses and reconstruct accidents within hospital settings. You’ll provide clear reports and testify as needed, applying forensic methods to vehicular, industrial, and medical scenarios.

Requires a master’s in biomedical/biomechanical engineering; PhD preferred, and ACTAR/PE credentials are advantageous. Travel up to 25% may be required as part of the role, with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a master’s degree in biomedical/biomechanical engineering; PhD preferred.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• ACTAR certification preferred or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Performs human-injury impact analyses of vehicular, mechanical, and fall injuries.
• Analyzes injuries from various accidents and reconstructs incidents.
• Prepares clear written reports of findings and conducts testimony.
• Executes on-site vehicle exams and documents conclusions.
• Locates research and applies governing regulations and literature.
• Uses mathematical methods and computer/physical models for reconstructions.
