Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Consultant Biomechanical Engineer in Chicago, Illinois. You will leverage your biomechanical engineering expertise to carry out detailed investigations related to personal injury litigation and accident reconstruction. This role offers the chance to engage with various complex cases, providing insights for legal and insurance purposes, while offering a dynamic work environment.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s degree in biomedical or biomechanical engineering and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. The position includes competitive salary and benefits, professional growth opportunities, and the potential for remote work.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in biomedical or biomechanical engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • ACTAR certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed technical investigations and analysis related to personal injury litigation.
  • Work on complex cases involving medical equipment, vehicular accidents, and injury causation.
  • Prepare clear reports and provide expert testimony.

Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to conduct human-injury impact analysis
Experience in forensic engineering

Education

Master’s degree in biomedical or biomechanical engineering
Ph.D. preferred
