Job summary

Rimkus is seeking a biomedical/biomechanical engineer to conduct human-injury impact analyses and expert testimony in litigation across hospital and healthcare settings. You will reconstruct accidents, prepare written reports, and support depositions.

The role requires a master's degree in biomedical or biomechanical engineering (Ph.D. preferred), and 4+ years of experience. PE license and ACTAR certification are highly regarded; travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in biomedical or biomechanical engineering; Ph.D. preferred.
• PE license preferred or the ability to obtain it within 1 year
• Minimum 4+ years in biomedical or biomechanical engineering with a master's
• ACTAR certification preferred or the ability to obtain it within six months

Responsibilities

• Performs human-injury impact analysis of vehicular accidents, mechanical failures, falls and falling objects.
• Analyzes vehicular accidents and reconstructs incidents.
• Prepares written reports of findings in clear, concise terms.
• Provides testimony in depositions and the courtroom.
• Conducts on-site vehicle examinations and writes findings.
• Reviews photos, statements, reports to draw logical conclusions.
• Locates and applies relevant literature and regulations.
• Applies mathematical and empirical methods of analyses.
• Travel up to 25%.
