Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5–10 years of supervisory experience in Power/Process plants, preferably biomass or solid fuels.
• Must demonstrate strong leadership and safety focus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily plant operations activities are performed and documented accurately.
• Operate distributed control systems.
• Monitor plant systems, perform safety checks and inspections.
• Take measurements and compare with standards; implement corrective actions.
• Manage water chemistry adjustments for boiler, cooling tower, demineralizer, and RO units.
• Inspect environmental equipment and issue notifications as needed.
• Identify and report problems to Maintenance.
• Maintain operating records and logs.
• Respond to alarms promptly and operate firefighting equipment if required.
• Supervise other crafts on shift and assist during plant shutdowns.
• Maintain professional competence in power plant operations.
• Ensure a safe work environment through planning and housekeeping.
• Adhere to health, safety, environmental, and administrative policies.
• Follow event notification protocols to management and regulatory agencies.
• Attend meetings and training; pursue personal development goals.
