Job summary

NAES Corporation is seeking an Operations Manager for the Franklin Biomass Facility in Carnesville, GA. You will lead daily plant operations, manage budgets, coordinate fuel handling, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and reliability of power generation.

You will supervise Operations personnel, partner with Maintenance and Engineering, and drive continuous improvement, cost objectives, and environmental performance while maintaining strong safety culture and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• Supervisory or management experience in power generation operations is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily plant operations and supervise Operations personnel to ensure safe, reliable, efficient electricity generation.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling expenditures while supporting production and reliability objectives.
• Establish operator schedules, staffing coverage, and on-call arrangements for continuous plant operations.
• Coordinate biomass fuel deliveries, handling, storage, testing, and inventory to support combustion efficiency and emissions compliance.
• Evaluate equipment performance using data to identify trends, improve efficiency, and address reliability concerns.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering to prioritize repairs, coordinate outages, and support preventive maintenance.
