Job summary

Ameresco, Inc. is seeking a Fuel Yard/Boiler Operator for our Biomass Co-Generation plant at the Savannah River Site near Aiken, SC. The role involves monitoring fuel yard and boiler operations, maintaining logs, and ensuring safe, compliant plant performance.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED and at least 2 years of industrial equipment experience, with ability to obtain the SRSS badge. Position includes rotating shifts and on-site work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience operating industrial equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Savannah River Site badge.

Responsibilities

• Operate daily logs for fuel yard, boilers, and turbine generator.
• Perform housekeeping and basic maintenance of plant equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment (Bobcat, forklift, front-end loader, Lull).
• Operate a Stacker–Reclaimer and power plant equipment via DCS.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Take on additional duties as required.
