Job summary

NAES is seeking an IC&E Technician for Halifax County Biomass in South Boston, VA. The role focuses on maintaining instrumentation, controls, and electrical equipment to support safe, reliable operation of the biomass plant.

You will work with PLC, DCS, SCADA, and emissions systems, performing preventive and corrective maintenance and supporting outages and outages-related activities. Qualified candidates will have an associate degree in a related field and hands-on experience with electrical

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
• Experience in power generation, biomass, or heavy industrial environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and OEM manuals.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, test, troubleshoot, repair, and install plant instrumentation and controls.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, DCS, SCADA, boiler and combustion controls, and automation systems.
• Perform preventive, corrective, predictive, and emergency electrical maintenance.
