Job summary

FUJIFILM Biosciences is seeking an Executive Director, Site Leader to provide strategic and operational leadership across research, development, and manufacturing of recombinant proteins and biomolecules.

The role interfaces with corporate leadership, regulatory bodies, and partners to build an inclusive, high-performing team that achieves site objectives. Domestic and international travel is anticipated.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
15+ years of biomanufacturing or regulated life sciences experience.
10+ years of management experience including operations and quality teams.
5+ years of site, business, or functional P&L experience.
Proven leadership overseeing large, cross-functional organizations.
Experience in biomolecules manufacturing (cell culture, purification, fill-finish).
Experience leading audits and maintaining inspection-ready operations.
Ability to scale operations and expand capacity.
Strong collaboration in a matrixed organization.
Proven people development and change management skills.
Financial acumen relating to site performance.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

Set and model a safety-first, quality-first culture at the site.
Develop and inspire a high-performing leadership team.
Drive employee engagement, inclusion, and talent development.
Serve as the visible site leader with humility and accountability.
Oversee end-to-end site performance including manufacturing, development, and quality.
Develop and execute site strategy aligned with business goals.
Ensure reliable execution of the site production plan.
Lead capacity planning, scale-up, and readiness for all products.
Manage site expenses and CAPEX budget.
Ensure compliance with FUJIFILM Biosciences QMS.
Sponsor quality initiatives, CAPAs, deviations, audits.
Track and report KPIs to executive leadership.
Support regulatory and customer inspections and audits.
Oversee site P&L, budgeting, cost control, and productivity targets.
Translate strategy into site objectives and execution plans.
Collaborate with the commercial team on operating plans.
Contribute to senior leadership strategy and company goals.
