Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• ABD will be considered if degree is conferred by August 7, 2027; if ABD, appointment at Lecturer level on fixed contract.
• Preferred expertise in microbiology, immunology, infectious diseases, or host‑pathogen interactions.
• Experience teaching biology courses and mentoring undergraduate and graduate research.

Responsibilities

• Teach 9 credit hours per semester of core/upper-level and graduate biology courses.
• Plan, prepare, and teach courses with syllabi, materials, and assessments.
• Deliver engaging lectures aligned with curriculum goals and accreditation standards.
• Establish and maintain an active research program involving undergraduates.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service and committees.
