Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• ABD will be considered if degree is conferred by August 7, 2027; if successful candidate is ABD, appointment at Lecturer level on fixed contract.

Responsibilities

• Teach 9 credit hours per semester of core/upper-level and/or graduate biology courses.
• Plan, prepare, and teach courses including syllabi, materials, and assessments.
• Deliver engaging lectures aligned with curriculum goals and accreditation standards.
• Maintain high standards of instruction and engage in self-assessment for improvement.
• Provide academic advising and office hours to students.
• Utilize learning management systems and instructional technologies effectively.
• Collaborate on curriculum development and program advancement.
• Establish and maintain an active undergraduate/graduate research program.
• Demonstrate scholarly publication and pursue external grants; participate in committees.
