Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director of Engineering in Biologics External Manufacturing Technology. The role leads technical transfers to external partners and manages cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, on-time supply for vaccines and biologics.

The successful candidate will drive tech transfer strategies, partner collaboration, and continuous improvement across external manufacturing networks, reporting to the Director of Biologics External Manufacturing Technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or applicable Science is required.
• Minimum of 8 years post-bachelor’s experience in vaccines/biologics.
• Experience leading technical transfers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to Biologics External Manufacturing.
• Lead tech transfers to External Partners and ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Quality, Regulatory for partner assessments.
• Develop validation strategies for new/existing products.
• Guide investigations and risk mitigations across sites.
• Ensure partner readiness for inspections and regulatory needs.
