Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Scientist on the Research/Biologics team to develop and screen novel gene editing therapies for Insmed’s pipeline. You will collaborate across the research organization to advance therapies to patients in need, reporting to the Associate Principal Scientist.

The role requires a PhD by Sept 2026 and hands-on molecular biology, assay development, and independent experimental design. In-person work in Bridgewater, NJ is expected with minimal travel.

Qualifications

• PhD in life science (conferred by Sept 2026).
• Hands-on molecular biology: PCR, cloning, protein expression, mutagenesis.
• Experience with cell-based assays and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to evaluate gene editing therapy candidate properties and function.
• Design and produce novel gene editing therapy candidates.
• Develop cell-based biological assays.
• Author and review protocols, notebooks, technical reports, and scientific publications.
• Maintain documentation of experimental procedures and results.
• Communicate results in writing and oral presentations.
