Job summary

Syngene International invites applications for a Director of Business Development, Biologics – West Coast U.S. This senior role leads regional P&L, strategy, pipeline and revenue growth across biologics CDMO services, building high-value client relationships and steering complex deals in a global matrixed organization.

You will drive new client acquisition, collaborate with US$ India-based delivery teams, and ensure forecast accuracy and CRM discipline, with >$15M annual quota.

Qualifications

• Foundational CDMO sales experience in biologics, including development and GMP manufacturing.
• Experience managing early-stage and late-stage client engagements.
• Ability to lead a territory with executive presence and independent ownership.
• Familiarity with CLD, upstream/downstream development, tech transfer, PPQ, and commercial manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow the West Coast region with revenue, pipeline, and new business closures.
• Lead end-to-end deal cycles: prospecting, RFx, solutions, proposals, negotiation, and contracts.
• Build biotech and pharma client relationships as the primary commercial interface.
• Drive new client acquisition through targeted outreach and industry events.
• Collaborate with global scientific, technical, and delivery teams across US and India.
• Maintain pipeline visibility, forecasting accuracy, and Salesforce discipline.
