Job summary

Valero is seeking energetic students to join the Valero Intern Program as Renewables Engineering Co-ops and Interns in a bio-refining environment, with hands-on exposure at ethanol plants across multiple locations.

As an intern, you will support the Engineering Manager with technical activities, assist in design and operation of process equipment, and help develop cost estimates, specifications and maintenance documents. Mentorship and real-world projects await.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Biosystems Engineering or related major.
• Minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the intern/co-op program.
• Graduation date on or after the end of the intern/co-op program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineering Manager with technical support for the ethanol plant.
• Support design, modification and operation of process equipment in the ethanol plant.
• Develop capital, expense and maintenance project documents and include cost estimates.
• Provide optimization and troubleshooting guidance with operations and maintenance.
• Create technical specifications to procure equipment and services.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA Process Safety Management regulations and related docs.
