Job summary

Valero Energy in Linden, IN is seeking a Renewables Engineering Intern for an ongoing program. Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Biosystems Engineering or related engineering major required.
• A minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the intern program required.
• Graduation date on or after December 2027 required.
• Ability to work 20-25 hours per week during the Spring/Fall semesters required.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the Summer required.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 (or higher) on a 4.0 scale preferred.
• Candidate required to live within commuting distance to Linden, IN.
• Valero’s pre-employment process includes successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Supports engineering manager with technical support for the ethanol plant.
• Assists with design, modification and operation of process equipment.
• Develops and adds to project documents, cost estimates and specifications.
• Provides troubleshooting and technical guidance to operations and maintenance.
