Job summary

Boston University is seeking a Senior Specialist, Biocontainment to manage decontamination, testing, verification and certification of critical containment systems at the NEIDL High Containment Lab. Under direction of the Biocontainment Manager, you will perform field tests, validations, and coordinate with multiple teams for successful decontamination and recertification.

• Bachelor's degree required; experience may substitute for education.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• NSF Biosafety Cabinet Field Certifier Accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for conducting all decontaminations, testing, verification and certification of critical biocontainment systems for NEIDL high and maximum containment facilities.
• Performs field tests, certification, and validations of Biological Safety Cabinets and HEPA filtration systems in air handlers, exhaust and supply systems, effluent vent systems, and other containment equipment with HEPA filters.
• Coordinates with facilities, science, animal groups and others to decontaminate laboratories and assist in annual recertification of containment.
